Flick: If We Play at the Same Level as the Celta Vigo Match, Everything Will Be Fine
Sunday 07-12-2025
Hans Flick expressed great optimism about Barcelona's future in the upcoming phase, confirming that the team is ready to continue strong performances during the last weeks before the international break. The German coach's statements came during his receipt of the Miguel Muñoz Award for Best Coach of the Last Season, presented by the newspaper "Marca".

Speaking about the last match before the break against Celta Vigo, Flick said: "In the second half, we were a great team, with a strong performance. Perhaps we currently lack a certain amount of confidence that we should naturally have and need, but some players will return, and this will help us a lot. We have a wonderful team, and if we play at a high level as we did in Vigo, everything will be fine."

He added: "Now we have nine matches in four weeks before the break. We will focus on these four weeks and fight to win all the matches."

The Barcelona coach expressed pride in the award, considering it an honor that includes everyone inside the team, saying: "It is a great honor to receive this award, but it is not mine alone; it belongs to the team. The players and technical staff did a wonderful job last season, which is why we received this recognition."

Regarding the competitive difference between La Liga and the Bundesliga, Flick explained: "I do not want to compare La Liga with the Bundesliga, but what I have seen here pleases me. In Spain, every team has its own identity and wants to play football; they love playing football, and this makes preparing for every match difficult because each team has a different identity."

Barcelona is preparing to return to the Spotify Camp Nou stadium on Saturday to face Athletic Bilbao, aiming to reduce the gap with league leaders Real Madrid, who will visit Elche on Sunday.
