Al-Ittihad Regains Its Striking Power
The trio Fabinho Tavares, Roger Fernandez, and Mamadou Doumbia resumed their training with Al-Ittihad on Thursday after completing their international duties with their national teams during the recent break.
Al-Riyadiyah newspaper explained that the arrival of this trio boosts the team's readiness before the resumption of league competitions, while Serbian Predrag Rajkovic, Saleh Al-Shehri, Hassan Kadash, and Abdulrahman Al-Aboud participated in Wednesday's training session.
The report revealed that Algerian Houssam Al-Awar underwent light training after his late return from international participation, while Karim Benzema returned to full participation after receiving rest due to a minor muscle strain.
The training session also witnessed the return of defender Ahmed Sharahili to group training after recovering from injury, which represents an important defensive boost for the team ahead of the upcoming phase.
On the other hand, Moath Faqihi continued his rehabilitation program by running around the field as part of a gradual return plan after his foot joint injury, under close medical supervision by the technical staff.
Al-Ittihad is preparing to face the Riyadh team tomorrow, Friday, in the ninth round of the Saudi Professional League, in a match eagerly awaited by fans hoping to see the team at full technical and physical readiness.
