Congolese striker Viston Mayili ascended the podium after receiving the Best Player award within the African continent for 2025 during the official ceremony organized by the African Union in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.

The crowning of the Pyramids star came as a result of an exceptional season in which he delivered remarkable performances, becoming one of the most prominent faces that impressed fans with his offensive abilities and direct impact on the team's journey both locally and continentally.

Mayili succeeded in leading Pyramids to historic achievements, most notably winning the CAF Champions League for the first time in the club's history, alongside securing the African Super Cup after a strong and stable performance.

The ceremony witnessed the announcement of the winner by star Mahmoud Abdel-Razek Shikabala, after receiving a special invitation from CAF, adding a remarkable fan presence from across the continent to the occasion.

The crowning of the Congolese player coincided with fierce competition between him and his teammates at Pyramids, Moroccan Mohamed El Sheiby, and Moroccan Osama El Miliwi, a player for Renaissance Berkane, reflecting the strength of the Arab and African presence.

This achievement confirms Mayili's rising status within the continent, after proving himself as one of the leading strikers and strongly contributing to Pyramids' notable results in the Egyptian league and continental championships during the current year.
