Pyramids renew interest in signing Assad Al-Hamlawi

Pyramids FC are once again in the race to sign a player who was previously of interest to their traditional rivals Al Ahly FC, as reports on Friday indicated the club's desire to move towards finalizing this targeted deal.

Pyramids FC previously expressed interest in signing Palestinian player Assad Al-Hamlawi, who plays for Craiova in the Romanian league and was also on Al Ahly FC's radar last summer.

Craiova have rejected offers for Assad Al-Hamlawi during the recent summer transfer window, insisting on his continuation and setting a minimum fee of €5 million for his sale if they are forced to sell.

Romanian network "digisport" reported that Pyramids FC have not abandoned the idea of signing Assad Al-Hamlawi, as they have renewed their interest in the mentioned player.

Pyramids FC sent their scouts to the match between Craiova and Ignatia on Thursday evening in the third round of the league stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League to monitor Assad Al-Hamlawi and assess his performance.

Attention now turns to the negotiations regarding the potential transfer of Assad Al-Hamlawi to the Egyptian League, a deal that, if completed, would become the fourth most expensive sale in the history of the Romanian club. Pyramids FC faces fierce competition from Getafe, AEK Athens, Mainz, and Rubin Kazan, all interested in acquiring the player.
