Former Al-Ahly Star: National Team Stars Want to Oust Hossam Hassan
Mahmoud Abu Al-Dahab, former Al-Ahly star, revealed that the stars of the Egyptian national team want to oust Hossam Hassan, the national team coach, in the coming period.
Mahmoud Abu Al-Dahab said on the 'Al-Brimo' program on 'Ten' channel: 'Hossam Hassan is facing an unjustified attack, which is unnecessary, especially since he has succeeded in achieving a significant part of his goals with the national team so far, including qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.'
He continued: 'Defeats in friendly matches are not a criterion for judging the level of the technical staff and players, as performance may vary in major tournaments.'
He added: 'The campaign against Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan to leave the national team is not limited to social media and some officials, but as I have learned, many Pharaohs players want to oust Hossam Hassan in the coming period.'
The Egyptian national team lost to the Uzbekistan team 2-0 in a friendly match held last Friday in the UAE.
