A New Crisis Threatens Upcoming Egyptian League Matches
The media personality Ahmed Shobir revealed a new crisis that threatens the upcoming matches of the Egyptian league.
Shobir stated in a radio interview: "I have a problem and I have something good as an Egyptian citizen. The African Union has set the dates for the first two rounds of the African club competitions for Egyptian clubs."
He added: "According to the scheduled dates for Al Ahly, Zamalek, Pyramids, and Al Masry, there will definitely be a mandatory postponement for the Al Masry match against Wadi Degla, because they will be playing here on the 23rd against Kaizer Chiefs, and then they will travel to Zambia on the 25th, so that match will be postponed."
He continued, "Zamalek is supposed to play against Smouha on the 25th and against Kaizer Chiefs on the 29th. I think it's very difficult for them to travel and play, and the most likely scenario is a postponement because the travel will take about 12 hours."
He continued: "Al-Ahly is supposed to play on the 25th, for example, against Ismaily with the same confidence, and the same goes for Pyramids. Here, may God help the folks at the clubs' association because you brought in a German company and a New Zealand company, but CAF's schedules are never accurate."
He added: "For example, we saw the Pyramids players leave the camp yesterday, and Captain Helmy Tolba said, 'What can I do?' There is a crisis regarding this issue, and it affects the Premier League and the association, among other things. The association won't be able to do anything about it, and it will complicate the competition."
