Dias: We Live for These Matches, and We Must Be Humble
Sunday 09-11-2025
Manchester City defender Ruben Dias appeared in a press statement after the team's 3-0 victory over Liverpool in the eleventh round of the Premier League.

The player said in his remarks: "Of course, we are very happy for Pep Guardiola (reaching 1000 matches). We live for matches like these. There is no higher level than this."

He added, "Everyone delivered a great match; we all need to keep up the pressure. Each one of us, including myself, must push the others. The amazing performance by Doku and the run that Haaland made to turn the situation around."

He continued, "I remember before I joined this club, when I used to watch Manchester City – it was those little details that made them win so often."

He added: "The difference lies in each person's willingness to step up and make sacrifices for their teammate beside them. This is not new; it has been happening for a while. We have been talking about rebuilding since last season."

He concluded: "Yes, of course, there are new faces due to the departure of some players, but the quality remains the same, and we continue to push forward and make progress. It's still early in the season, and we need to stay grounded (humble)."
