Nasser Maher, the midfielder of Zamalek Club, expressed his feelings of frustration for not being selected in the Egyptian national team's squad called up for the November camp in the UAE, in preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.

Hossam Hassan called up 5 players from Zamalek: goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi, defensive duo Mohamed Ismail and Hossam Abdel-Meguid, midfielder Mohamed Shahat, and left-back Ahmed Fattouh.

Nasser Maher expressed his strong dissatisfaction with being overlooked for the Egypt national team roster through his Instagram account, indicating that the reason is not technical.

Nasser said: "I apologize for this statement, but the situation is very frustrating for me due to not being included in the Egypt national team roster, and this is not normal."

He continued: "I believe I deserve to join the national team, and the issue is not technical, as my performance lately has impressed critics, analysts, and journalists."

The Zamalek star continued: "I feel a great injustice for not being included in the Egypt national team roster, and for my efforts over the past period going to waste. I have given my all, but my dreams slip away easily."
