Allegri: We must be vigilant and decisive against Parma
Friday 07-11-2025
The head coach of AC Milan, Massimiliano Allegri, spoke at the press conference held before the match against Parma, scheduled for Saturday, November 8 at 9:45 PM Cairo time, as part of the eleventh round of the Italian league.

During his talk, Allegri addressed the technical aspects and preparations before the match, emphasizing the importance of achieving a positive result before the international break.

Allegri said: "We will face a team that fights hard and relies heavily on long balls, and they have a standout player like Pellegrini in attack. Playing at Parma's stadium is never easy, so we need to be ready to match their style. Parma usually disrupts their opponents' style of play, so the match may be disjointed. We must be sharp and precise, avoid mistakes, and maintain our focus throughout the match. The most important thing is the result, especially since we have not won away from home since the match against Udinese."

He added: "We made some mistakes in the goals we conceded against Cremonese and Pisa, and this cost us important points. If we want to reach our goals, we must work as a team when we lose the ball. On the other hand, we need to improve our chances; we cannot waste them as we did against Roma. We need to be more effective in the attacking third."

He continued: "The atmosphere in Milan is wonderful, but we must remain humble and cohesive even in difficult moments. Our main goal is to qualify for the Champions League. The season is long, and there is strong competition, so we will continue to work and improve, and we will see where we reach by the end of the season. As for the derby, it is too early to think about it; our focus now is on the match against Parma so we can enter the international break with high morale."

Allegri concluded his talk with updates on the players' conditions, saying: "We have regained Pulisic, who is ready to participate, and Estupinan and Gashari have improved. Rabiot and Jimenez will return after the international break. Leao and Nkunku performed excellently against Roma, and Leao has not yet reached his full readiness, but what he showed in that match should be his permanent level. As for Jimenez, it is early to determine his participation in the derby, and he is capable of playing as a center forward, like Leao and Nkunku. Maignan is a great goalkeeper, and renewing my contract? That matter is up to the club."
