Rice: We Knew the Difficulty of the Match, That's the Secret of Our Celebration

Arsenal star Declan Rice appeared in a press statement after the 2-0 victory over Burnley in the tenth round of the Premier League.

The player said about Burnley: "They may have lost only once in 18 months. We knew it would be a tough match, so we had to stick to our principles. Our performance stood out clearly, and we could have scored four or five goals in the first half."

He added: "It's important for us to keep scoring goals; two perfect goals for us today. If we look at the goal as a whole, we see that we are defending a long throw from our half. Gabriel won the ball, and I kept running with it. I felt like a traditional midfielder!"

Regarding his gesture to the sky in celebration: "My aunt passed away before the Fulham match. I loved her dearly. She traveled everywhere to watch me with my mother. I know she is watching me from above, so this day was for her."
