Arsenal's coach Mikel Arteta appeared in press statements after the 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace in the ninth round of the Premier League.

The coach said: "I am very happy because we were aware of the difficulty of the match. It was a crucial win against a strong team. Today we were decisive and excellent defensively. No one creates big chances against them with the way they build their defense."

He added: "We deserved the win; their style of competition and play, and their desire to win, is amazing. The five substitutes who came in today made a big difference again. As you can see the results of the Premier League... you have to be very good to win."
