Czesny Admits Difficulty Facing Mbappe Before El Clasico

Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny, a player for Barcelona, admitted the difficulty of facing French star Kylian Mbappe before the upcoming El Clasico match against Real Madrid, confirming that he possesses a special talent when playing against him.

According to the newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Szczęsny, who is 35 years old, will be the starting goalkeeper in the El Clasico, as he prepares to face Mbappe, who is currently in exceptional form and is considered one of Real Madrid's main attacking weapons.

The newspaper clarified that Mbappe has managed to score in all five of his matches against Szczęsny, netting eight goals, including five in the last three El Clasicos, while the Polish goalkeeper had previously been sent off in the Spanish Super Cup final after fouling the French star.

It was also mentioned that Szczęsny's struggles with Mbappe began during his time at Juventus, when he faced him twice with Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League in the 2022/2023 season, with Mbappe scoring in both instances, in addition to two other goals in France's 3-1 victory over Poland in the Qatar World Cup.

Szczęsny said: "I do not feel fear, but I have great respect for him. I believe Kylian is one of the best players in the world, and perhaps the best right now. It seems he has a special talent against me; no one has scored against me like he has, even though we have only played five matches, which proves his high quality."

Szczęsny hopes to break his curse against Mbappe during his first El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu, after their previous encounters were filled with clear French superiority.
