Ferreira: I Am Not Satisfied with the Team's Performance Against Dickadaha
The Belgian coach of Zamalek, Yannick Ferreira, stated that he is not satisfied with his team's performance against the Somali team Dickadaha in today's match.
Zamalek managed to win against Dickadaha with a score of 1-0 today, Friday, in the second leg of the 32nd round of the African Confederation.
Zamalek secured its qualification to the round of 16, having finished the first leg with a crushing result of 6-0.
Ferreira said in the press conference after today's match: "After the first half, I was not happy with the performance and the result, and I hoped to change the performance in the second half, and the result of the first leg may have been a factor affecting the performance and the result in today's match."
Regarding the criticism of the player Mohamed El-Sayed, Ferreira said: "The important part is the support for Mohamed El-Sayed from the entire team, and from those on the bench, and I noticed the chants from the fans, and my message to them is that they are the supporters of the team first and last."
He continued: "The fans do not realize half of what we face daily at the club, and I am not happy with the chants against a 19-year-old player who gives his all every day in training, and things have not been easy for Mohamed El-Sayed, and it takes courage for him to stay on the field until the end."
He added: "We thought during this match about giving every player who lacks participation a chance and giving some players rest, in addition to bringing in players returning from injury for part of the match."
He continued: "Mahmoud Jahad, Nabil Dounga, and Mohamed Shahat were not present in the match due to not participating in training for a sufficient time, in addition to Ahmed Rabi's injury."
