Mohamed Awad Set to Start for Zamalek Against Al Ittihad

According to "Youm7" newspaper, Mohamed Awad, Zamalek's goalkeeper, is the frontrunner to start against Ittihad in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Zamalek is set to face Al Ittihad on Friday, August 21, in the opening round of the Egyptian Premier League, with the match kicking off at 8 PM Cairo time.

The newspaper reported that Awad is close to guarding the white's goal, thanks to his role as a key player at the end of last season's competitions, following the strong and impressive performances he delivered in the final stages of the tournament.

Awaad is also delivering good performances in Zamalek's training sessions during this period, which enhances his chances of remaining a starter with the team at the beginning of the new season, amid competition for the goalkeeper position within the White Castle.
