The rising Spanish star Dru Fernandez, a 17-year-old Barcelona player, expressed his great happiness after his impressive performance in his team's wide victory over Olympiacos with a score of 6-1 in the Champions League, confirming that he performed better than in his previous match in La Liga.

Dru said in his statements after the match: "It is a special and unforgettable day for me; I have always dreamed of playing in matches like this, and I am very happy to achieve that. Today I played better than the previous match, and Hans Flick told me that I would play in the winger position, and I am grateful to him for giving me this opportunity."

He added: "Honestly, I was calmer today; in the last match, I was very nervous, but when I learned that I would be starting, I felt more comfortable and was able to focus more on my performance on the pitch."

He continued explaining the instructions from coach Hans Flick: "The coach always asks me to give my all without the ball and to press hard. With the ball, he tells me to enjoy and show what I can do in training. He gives us the freedom to move and enter the depth, and I feel very comfortable there because the spaces are larger, and I can think and move freely."

He continued discussing the team's performance, saying: "I think we had a very strong match. At the beginning of the second half, we faced some difficulties after their goal, but we were organized and continued to control until the end."

Regarding the upcoming clash against Real Madrid in the Clasico, Fernandez said: "I have a great desire to play in the Clasico; I will definitely be a little nervous, but it's positive tension, and I am very excited to play this important match."

The young star concluded his talk with a smile, explaining the reason for his nickname Dru, saying: "Some people tried to invent stories about the reason for this nickname, but the truth is very simple. My little brother could not pronounce my name Pedro, so he would say Dru, and since then, the nickname has stuck with me, and I love it very much."
