Arsenal's coach Mikel Arteta appeared at a press conference to discuss tomorrow's match against Atletico Madrid in the third round of the Champions League group stage.

He began his remarks regarding the readiness of Piero Hincapie, saying: "Yes, he is available. After two training sessions, he is in good physical condition."

Regarding the match against Simeone: "What he has done since arriving at Atletico is amazing, not only for what he has achieved but for the way he did it. His team has a very strong identity, which is extremely difficult, especially after 14 years of continuity."

He added: "Simeone is someone you can learn from in many situations. I love his passion, that hunger and energy he transmits to the players. He still manages to convince them after all these years."

He continued: "Would you like to see Simeone in the English league? We have great coaches here [laughs]..."

On Arsenal's ability to win the Champions League: "I am convinced that we can reach the final, but we have to prove that every day on the pitch."

Regarding drawing inspiration from Simeone's model at Arsenal, he said: "The environments and cultures are very different. You have to use your own knowledge and experiences."

He added: "The biggest problem is the lack of preparation time. They have developed compared to last season. We need to simplify the information for our players so that we implement what we want correctly.”

On the reasons for the difficulty of playing against Atletico Madrid: "It is about how they compete and their style of play, which are two different things. Their organizational level is very high, and they have had talented players for several years.”

He concluded: "Can Simeone succeed in the English league? If he succeeds in the Champions League, which is the toughest tournament in the world, then he can succeed anywhere. The Premier League is very tough, but his personality and unique mentality..."
