Ferreira: I Offered to Lend Money to Zamalek Players
The Belgian coach Yannick Ferreira spoke about the financial crisis facing the white club Zamalek.
Zamalek is preparing to face the Somali team Dickadaha next Saturday in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Confederation.
Ferreira confirmed in statements to reporters today, Thursday, that Zamalek players and the coaching staff are waiting for their salaries, and this is the toughest situation the team is facing.
He added: "The players are more preoccupied with the financial crisis, and I always talk to the players about the necessity of their cohesion."
He continued: "Some players are trying to cope with the financial crisis, but others cannot bear it."
The Belgian coach indicated that he offered to lend some players money for those who wish, out of friendship and for the benefit of the team.
He continued: "I do not follow what is said through the media and social media, but I did not ask to dispense with the Moroccan player Abdel Hamid Maali as rumored."
He concluded: "I felt great support recently, and I was informed to continue my work and the trust of everyone in what we have exerted effort in."
