
Mortada Mansour: I left Zamalek with 2 billion pounds in the treasury
Mortada Mansour, the former president of Zamalek Club, confirmed that the white club is experiencing a period of loss due to the crises it has recently faced.
Mansour added during a press statement while submitting his candidacy papers for the parliamentary elections in the Mit Ghamr district, in Dakahlia Governorate, that he left the presidency of the club with 2 billion pounds in the treasury and questioned, saying: "Where did this money go? I am leaving and the taxes are zero, and I paid all the money and lifted the seizure on the club."
Mansour continued that the land of Zamalek Club in 6 October City was allocated for building a club and a stadium, and the board of directors sold 30 acres of it, saying: "Where is the remaining money? And what is the status of the general assembly? Zamalek Club has been lost."
Zamalek is currently preparing to face the Somali team, Dakadaha, next Saturday in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Confederation.
