Egypt National Team Secures Qualification for the 2026 World Cup
The Egypt national team won against their counterpart Djibouti with three goals to none in the match held today, Wednesday, at the Al Arabi Al Zawali Stadium in Morocco during the ninth round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Ibrahim Adel scored the first goal for Egypt in the eighth minute, and Mohamed Salah added the second and third goals for the Pharaohs in the 14th and 84th minutes, respectively.
Egypt's points tally rose to 23, placing them at the top of Group A, while Djibouti's tally remained at one point in sixth and last place.
With this result, the Egypt national team officially qualifies for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
