Algerian national team striker Baghdad Bounedjah expressed his and his teammates' determination to achieve a positive result against the Somalia national team in the upcoming match this Thursday, as part of the ninth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

In a brief statement broadcast by the official channel of the Algerian Football Federation on the occasion of the start of the October training camp, Bounedjah spoke about the atmosphere leading up to the anticipated match at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium in his hometown of Oran, saying: "We will be strong, and we will strive to create a wonderful atmosphere and achieve victory, God willing."
