Egyptian Referee Team Fully Participates in the World Cup
FIFA has revealed the list of referees who will officiate the matches of the 2026 World Cup.
The 2026 World Cup will be held next June in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
For the first time in the history of the tournament, the organizing committee selected a complete Egyptian refereeing team to represent the African continent and the Arab world in this global event.
The final list included international referee Amin Omar as the main referee, supported by assistant duo Mahmoud Abou El-Regal and Ahmed Hossam Taha, in addition to the presence of expert Mahmoud Ashour as the VAR (Video Assistant Referee) official.
This selection comes after the outstanding performances delivered by Egyptian referees in continental and international tournaments.
