Diyala Club submitted an official objection to the Iraqi Football Federation against Mosul Club, based on the latter's participation of seven professional players during the match between the two teams in the fourth round of the Iraqi Stars League.

Diyala Club viewed this action as a clear violation of the federation's regulations, affirming in its statement that the number of professionals allowed to participate in the match is less than that, demanding the federation to consider Mosul Club as an administrative loser with a score of (3-0), according to the laws applicable in local competitions.

This objection is expected to spark widespread controversy within the corridors of the Iraqi Football Federation, as this incident is the first of its kind in the new season, and it may prompt the federation to clarify or amend the regulations regarding the number of foreign players allowed to participate in matches.

It is noteworthy that the match between Diyala and Mosul ended in a positive draw (2-2), in the fourth round of the Iraqi Stars League, in a match that witnessed strong competition between the two teams, before it turned into a controversial organizational issue that may have repercussions in the coming days.
