The Spanish club Athletic Bilbao revealed today, Sunday, the nature of the injury to their international Ghanaian striker Inaki Williams.
The statement said: "Player Inaki Williams was substituted in the 53rd minute of the match that took place yesterday against Real Mallorca after suffering a muscle injury in his left leg."
It continued: "The captain will not join the Ghana national team and will begin his recovery. He will undergo further tests later to assess the progress of his condition."
It is worth noting that the Basque team has also missed his younger brother Nico Williams due to injury in recent weeks.
