Algerian coach Vladimir Bietkovic confirmed that the ultimate goal of the Algerian national team remains to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup and to make the Algerian fans happy, emphasizing that hard work is the way to achieve that.

Bietkovic said in a press conference held today, Thursday, before the matches against Somalia and Uganda in the ninth and tenth rounds of the African qualifiers: "The playing system, whether 4-3-3 or 3-4-3, is not the most important; rather, the foundation is the principles of play and the behavior of the players on the field."

Regarding the new goalkeeper Luka Zidane, the national coach clarified: "We have been following him for a while, and he deserves to be called up to the national team; his capabilities will greatly benefit the Greens." He also spoke about the new names, stating: "Dorfal plays on the left flank, while on the right we have Qayton and Belghali, in addition to Mandi and Samir Sharqi, all of whom are capable of providing solutions."

Bietkovic praised captain Rami Ben Sabaini, considering him a role model within the team and a pivotal element in the group. He also commended the return of Badr Eddine Bouanani to the squad, explaining: "I have been following him since his beginnings in Germany; he was absent recently due to technical choices, but he returns today because he has developed significantly."

The coach concluded his statements by emphasizing the need to improve certain defensive aspects: "We collected four points in September, and we only need one victory to secure qualification, but we still have a lot of work ahead, especially in individual confrontations and set pieces."
