Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, confirmed that the Moroccan national team will exert its utmost effort to keep the Africa Cup of Nations within the kingdom during the upcoming edition, after many years of waiting to achieve this continental title that Moroccans dream of.

Lekjaa thanked the national team players for the great performances they delivered in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, pointing out that the honorable image they presented raised the aspirations of Moroccan fans and solidified the belief that national football is capable of standing on the podiums of victory both continentally and globally.

The president of the federation added that hosting the tournament in Morocco represents an additional incentive for players to deliver a performance that meets the expectations of the Moroccan people, emphasizing that all Moroccans are looking forward to seeing the Atlas Lions lift the African cup on their home soil and among their fans.
