Lucas Bergval, Tottenham's midfielder, expressed his happiness with the difficult victory his team achieved against Villarreal with a score of 1-0, in the match that took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as part of the first round of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League.

Bergval said: "It was a very tough match, Villarreal put in a strong performance, but winning 1-0 at home is a fantastic result, we earned three important points, and we are working hard to instill a mentality of keeping a clean sheet, and we succeeded today as they did not have any shots on goal; the team did an excellent job."

Regarding the impact of the new coach Thomas Frank, the player said: "Frank has brought a breath of fresh air to the team; since the beginning of the season, we have talked a lot about the importance of a clean sheet mentality, especially after the many goals we conceded last season.
