Milan opens the door for the departure of Tomori and Loftus-Cheek in January
AC Milan are set to listen to offers for English defender Fikayo Tomori and midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek during the upcoming winter transfer window, with no clear intention to renew their contracts, according to recent media reports.
According to Tim Tok, several Premier League clubs have been contacted about the possibility of signing the duo, including Tottenham Hotspur, along with Coventry who have also shown interest in the players. The duo has extensive experience in the Premier League, making them viable options for clubs looking to strengthen their squads.
Fikayo Tomori faces a complicated situation as he has yet to feature for AC Milan this season. Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport have suggested that a departure in January is likely if he does not get a chance to play. The defender was also close to a move to Fulham in the summer before the deal fell through at the last moment.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has participated more at the start of the season than Fikayo Tomori, but he has lost some of his standing as the matches have gone on. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the players' contracts expire in June 2027, and a renewal is not expected at this time, making January an opportunity for AC Milan to consider offers instead of waiting for them to leave for free.
