Spanish newspaper "Sport" revealed details about the injury of Lamine Yamal, a Barcelona player, which caused him to miss the match against Valencia in the fourth round of La Liga. The Catalan club confirmed that the player is suffering from pain in the groin area that prevented him from training and participating.

The pain began during the recent international break with the Spanish national team, where he participated despite his suffering, playing 79 minutes in the first match and 73 minutes in the second, after receiving painkillers to alleviate the discomfort, as confirmed by Barcelona's coach Hans Flick, who criticized the way the Spanish Football Federation handled the player's injury, saying: "This is not taking care of the players; Lamine went while he was suffering, and returned in a worse condition."

The report confirmed that the relationship between Barcelona's medical staff and that of the Spanish Federation was good during the break, with regular exchanges of information regarding the players' conditions, supervised by Javier Galan, one of the physiotherapy specialists close to Barcelona's players, and Claudio Vasquez, head of the medical staff at the federation.
