Ferran Torres appeared in press statements after the Spanish national team won against Turkey 6-0 in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Torres said in his statements to RTVE: "I am very happy; it is always nice to play with Spain. This is the path we must continue on."
Regarding the large victory, he added: "We should never let our guard down, especially when we play away from home. We knew how to deal with a big result like this."
When asked about his goals with the national team, Torres clarified: "I have scored 22 goals with Spain so far, and I have always said that my goal is to be among the historical top scorers for the national team."
He concluded his remarks about Spain's chances in the World Cup: "In the World Cup, there is no absolutely favorite team. When you go in carrying the label of a contender, everyone is waiting for you."
