Hossam Hassan Promises Egyptians Qualification for the World Cup
Hossam Hassan, the coach of the Egyptian national team, stated that he promises Egyptians qualification for the 2026 World Cup following the Pharaohs' victory over Ethiopia with a score of two goals to none in the seventh round of the tournament qualifiers on Friday evening.
He added during the press conference after the match: "Congratulations to the Egyptian people for the victory over Ethiopia, and every match we win is a step towards achieving the dream of qualifying for the World Cup. I promise to achieve a positive result against Burkina Faso, and African football no longer has weak teams."
He continued: "The Ethiopian team has outstanding players, but we managed to control the match and score two goals, indeed from two penalty kicks, but the team missed many chances due to a lack of luck on our side."
He concluded: "The Egyptian team is ready to face Burkina Faso on their home ground. Egypt has only reached the World Cup three times, and that is not acceptable. I promise to reach it for the fourth time."
