Egypt Wins Against Ethiopia with a Clean Sheet in World Cup Qualifiers

The Egyptian national team succeeded in securing a victory against its Ethiopian counterpart with a score of 2-0 in the match held on Friday evening as part of the seventh round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush scored Egypt's goals from penalty kicks in the 40th minute and the 45+2 minute.

With this result, the Egyptian team's points increased to 19, placing them at the top of their group standings, while Ethiopia's points remained at 6, ranking them fifth.

Burkina Faso occupies the second position behind the Egyptian team with 14 points.
