Police Finalizes Deal for Cameroonian Striker
The Police Club has finalized the contract with Cameroonian striker Lionel Atiba, coming from the Tanzanian club Simba, as part of the club's efforts to strengthen its squad in preparation for the new season of the Iraqi Premier League, as well as participating in international tournaments.
Atiba was born on February 6, 1999, and is considered one of the strikers with considerable experience at the level of African clubs, having previously defended the colors of the Algerian Union of Algiers, in addition to the Cameroonian Cotton, as well as his previous experiences with several local clubs in his country, before moving to the Tanzanian league through the Simba club, one of the most prominent clubs in East Africa.
Although the Police administration has not yet officially announced the deal, a leaked photo of the player signing his contract to join the team confirmed that all matters have been settled, and only the awaited official announcement remains in the coming hours.
The coaching staff of the Police hopes that Atiba will provide the necessary addition to the front line, given the team's need for a striker capable of capitalizing on opportunities and deciding matches, especially as the club enters the new season with great ambitions to maintain its position at the top of Iraqi football, after dominating the league title in recent years.
Expectations indicate that the Cameroonian striker will quickly integrate with the group, especially since the Police is striving to prepare all its elements as soon as possible before the league starts, in addition to the Asian challenges awaiting the team.
