The Iraqi Prime Minister, Engineer Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, received the head of the administrative body of Al-Zawraa Club, Haidar Shanshul, yesterday, Thursday. They discussed the team's upcoming participation in the Asian championship and ways to create ideal conditions for it ahead of the external commitments.

During the meeting, Al-Sudani directed the provision of full support to Al-Zawraa Club, as it is one of the prominent pillars of Iraqi sports with a rich history and a large fan base. He emphasized the government's commitment to removing all obstacles and resolving the problems and debts facing the club to ensure its administrative and technical stability and to allow it to focus on the Asian competition.

For his part, Al-Zawraa Club President Haidar Shanshul expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for this initiative, affirming that government support for the club will significantly contribute to enhancing its readiness before entering the continental championship, as well as boosting the team's presence in both local and international arenas.

Shanshul indicated that this step will positively reflect on Al-Zawraa's journey, providing it with a strong impetus to continue its path towards raising Iraq's name high in continental competitions, emphasizing that the club will exert its utmost effort to achieve the aspirations of its large fan base and to honor its extended sports history.
