Slot Confirms Bradley's Return.. and Frimpong Out Until International Break
Thursday 21-08-2025
The head coach of Liverpool, Dutchman Arne Slot, confirmed that young defender Conor Bradley has returned to participate in team training, while the Reds will miss the services of Dutchman Jeremie Frimpong until the end of the upcoming international break.

Regarding Bradley's return, Slot said: "Conor participated for a few minutes with us today in training for the first time, after missing the Community Shield match and the Bournemouth game."

On Frimpong's injury, he added: "The medical team was absolutely right when they decided to substitute him during the Bournemouth match; had he continued to play, the injury would have been worse, and he is now expected to return after the international break."

He continued: "As I said after the match, it has nothing to do with his style of play, but we felt he was suffering from a hamstring issue, and I mean 'we' the medical staff, and they were correct."

Frimpong had to leave the field injured in the 60th minute of the Premier League match against Bournemouth due to pain in his hamstring, meaning he will miss the next two matches against Newcastle United and Arsenal.

After winning against Bournemouth with a score of 4-2 in the first round of the Premier League, Liverpool is preparing for a strong match against Newcastle United on Monday evening, as part of the second round of fixtures.
