The Turkish club Fenerbahçe has started official talks with the English club West Ham to contract the Mexican player Edson Álvarez, at the direct request of coach José Mourinho, who considers the player an ideal option to strengthen the team's ranks.

According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, initial contacts have taken place between Fenerbahçe and West Ham to discuss the possibility of completing the deal, amid interest from two other European clubs also attempting to sign the player, following previous interest from Dutch club Ajax.

For his part, Edson Álvarez has not yet made a decision, as he is currently reviewing the offers presented to him, with Fenerbahçe's offer being at the forefront, while considering his future aspirations and the possibility of experiencing a new challenge outside the Premier League.

So far, no final decision has been made by either the player or West Ham, while negotiations continue amidst the anticipation of several European clubs wishing to contract the Mexican star during the transfer market.
