West Ham agree with new manager after Nuno Santo's dismissal
West Ham have reached an agreement with Englishman Scott Parker to take over as head coach, following the departure of Portuguese Nuno Espírito Santo, who left his position after a decline in results in recent times.
According to journalist David Ornstein, West Ham officials are hoping to finalize the appointment of Parker, who is 46 years old, before their match against Cardiff City, scheduled for Wednesday, so he can take charge of the team as soon as possible.
Scott Parker has been chosen for his previous experience in the English Championship, having successfully led Fulham, AFC Bournemouth, and Burnley to promotion to the Premier League, alongside his good knowledge of the atmosphere at West Ham and the club's culture.
Reports suggest that Mark Noble, the club's current sporting director and one of its most prominent former figures, may join Parker's coaching staff in the upcoming phase.
West Ham have announced the immediate departure of Nuno Espírito Santo after the team slipped to eighth place in the Premier League following back-to-back defeats to Southampton and West Bromwich.
