The German club Leipzig announced on its official website the signing of Brazilian striker Romulo, who is 23 years old, coming from Turkish club Göztepe, with a contract that extends until June 2030, and he will wear the number 40 shirt.

Romulo began his career at the Maringá FC academy in Brazil and stood out as the top scorer in the Paraná Under-17 Championship. After his experience with Atlético Paranaense, he moved to Göztepe in January 2024, where he contributed to the team's promotion to the Turkish Super League with 5 goals and 3 assists.

In his first season in the Turkish Super League, Romulo delivered impressive performances, scoring 17 goals and assisting 10 goals, which caught Leipzig's attention to sign him after just a year and a half in Turkish football.

Marcel Schaefer, the sporting director at Leipzig, stated that Romulo possesses physical strength, skill, and the ability to adapt quickly, confirming that the player will give the team a new boost. Meanwhile, Romulo expressed his happiness, saying: "The German league is one of the strongest in the world, and Leipzig's style suits me perfectly, and I will do my best to help the team achieve its goals."
