Guardiola Announces Rodri's Injury and Expected Absence Duration
Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola confirmed that Spanish midfielder Rodri suffered a serious injury during the match against Al-Hilal in the Round of 16 of the Club World Cup this summer.
The Spanish coach stated in press remarks: "Rodri suffered a serious injury against Al-Hilal, and he will need about a month and a half to fully recover."
He added: "Recently, he has been training with us, but he still needs more time; his condition is improving, and I hope he will be ready after the international break in September."
He concluded: "He might get some minutes, but it is important that he does not feel any pain to avoid re-injury."
Rodri's absence represents a significant blow to the team at the start of the new season, especially since he missed most of last season's matches due to injury.
