Bernardo Silva: Barcelona is One of My Options, and I Will Choose the Club That Makes Me Feel Important

Portuguese Bernardo Silva has opened the door to the possibility of moving to Barcelona during the upcoming transfer period, confirming that the Catalan club is one of the options available to him after his journey with Manchester City ends.

Silva said in statements reported by the Spanish news agency 'EFE' after Portugal's 2-1 victory over Chile in a friendly match held as part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup: 'Barcelona is an option for me, but I have not made my decision yet.'

The Portuguese midfielder added: 'I have many options on the table, so I don't want to talk about a specific club, out of respect for all the clubs interested in me.'

He continued: 'In the end, I will try to find a team that really wants to sign me, and where I feel genuinely appreciated. This is very important to me, and when I make my decision, everyone will know.'

Bernardo Silva, 31 years old, is looking for a new destination after concluding his successful career with Manchester City, which spanned nine seasons during which he achieved many titles under the leadership of coach Pep Guardiola.

The player is currently focusing on his journey with the Portuguese national team, where he played as a starter in the friendly win against Chile as part of the final preparations before the start of the 2026 World Cup competitions.
