Mahmoud Hamdi El-Wensh confirmed that he is optimistic about the new season and sent a message to the white fans asking for support for the team in the upcoming period.

Zamalek had announced a few months ago the extension of El-Wensh's contract with the club until the summer of 2028.

El-Wensh said in statements through the media center of Zamalek Club: "It is a great honor for me to belong to Zamalek, and it is a great honor to remain loyal to this club until my retirement."

He added: "No one really knew me before I joined Zamalek from Tala'ea El-Gaish, and the club has a great favor on me, so I didn't take long to think when renewing my contract."

He continued: "I am very optimistic about the new season... success comes from having a system within the club, and I am happy with the focus of the players."

He then added: "We have contracted with a new coach who has passion, in addition to signing with distinguished young players, and everyone wants success."

He sent a message to Zamalek fans saying: "I hope that the Zamalek fans continue to support us in the upcoming period as they have always done, and I assure them that we will do our utmost to exit the season in a manner befitting the club and its supporters."
