Barcelona president Joan Laporta praised Paris Saint-Germain, confirming they had an exceptional season, but he expressed a clear desire to face the Parisian team to know who is truly the best in the upcoming season.

Laporta stated in his remarks: "Paris performed wonderfully last season. They won the Champions League and the French league. They play beautiful football with a great coach and outstanding players, and they have a strong team as well. Unfortunately, we couldn't play against them."

Laporta confirmed that a match between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain would have been highly anticipated: "It is a match the world is waiting for because I believe we were the two most competitive teams and the best prepared last season. We hope to play against them this season to know which is better."

He emphasized: "Perhaps another club will emerge this season that plays beautiful football, but last season, everyone who loves the game said that Barcelona and Paris were at their best and provided the best football in the world."

Laporta praised the new Champions League system, saying: "I would like to congratulate Alexander Ceferin for organizing a new format for the competition, which has raised the level of competition.
