Reports have indicated that Japanese winger Ritsu Doan is close to transferring to Eintracht Frankfurt from Freiburg, following an agreement between the two clubs regarding the transfer fee.

The "Sky" network reported that Frankfurt will pay a base amount of 21 million euros to sign the 27-year-old player, who is expected to sign a contract that extends until 2030.

Frankfurt has been monitoring Doan for some time, as coach Dino Toppmöller aims to strengthen the depth of the attack, especially in the winger position.

Ritsu Doan joined Freiburg in 2022 and played an important role in the team finishing fifth in the Bundesliga last season, while Frankfurt concluded the competition in third place after defeating Freiburg in the final round, ensuring participation in the Champions League.
