Al-Ettifaq Completes Summer Transfers by Signing Costa Rican Calvo

Saudi Al-Ettifaq has completed the contract procedures for Costa Rican defender Francisco Calvo, coming from Turkish club Hatayspor, as part of its plan to reinforce the squad ahead of the Roshan Professional League competitions.

The signing of Calvo represents the last foreign deal for the team during the summer transfer period, amid notable activity from the club's management to rebuild the lineup with distinguished international players.

The new signings list so far includes South African Mohaou Nkota, Slovak Ondrej Duda, as well as Egyptian striker Ahmed Hassan 'Kouka', who joined on a free transfer from French club Le Havre.

The 33-year-old defender boasts extensive international experience, having played over 110 matches with the Costa Rican national team and participated in World Cup and Gold Cup tournaments.

Calvo excels in the center-back position and also has the ability to play as a left-back, providing additional tactical flexibility for the coaching staff ahead of the anticipated season.
