Razovic: Al Taawoun deserved a better result against Al Ittifaq

Fok Razovic, the coach of Al Taawoun, expressed his frustration at the draw against Al Ettifaq with a goal for each team, confirming that his team deserved a better result than settling for just one point in the twelfth round of the Saudi Pro League.

Razovic said during the press conference that the match was difficult against a strong opponent, and in light of the complex circumstances that Al Taawoun is going through, he pointed out that his players exerted a great physical effort throughout the match.

The coach of Al Taawoun explained that his team's drop in performance in the second half was linked to the absence of lively players capable of moving the ball into the opponent's areas. He also attributed the coverage issues on set pieces to the participation of young players lacking the necessary experience to handle those situations.

Arthur Papas, the coach of Al-Ettifaq, expressed his disappointment with the result, explaining that his team did not start the match as required, and his players were preoccupied with protesting and talking to the referee instead of focusing on playing hard.

Babass confirmed that Al-Ettifaq made mistakes during the match, but ultimately managed to show their character and equalize, adding that his team was capable of scoring more goals and achieving a better result.

The coach of Al-Ettifaq highlighted that mental distraction gave Al-Taawoun the opportunity to implement their style, emphasizing the need to learn from mistakes and correct them. He considered that coming back in the score was the most significant positive aspect for his team.

Al Taawoun took the lead with a goal from Abderrazak Hamdallah from a penalty in the 26th minute, before Abdullah Khateeb equalized for Al Ettifaq with a header in the 90th minute, resulting in both teams sharing the points in the match held in Buraidah.
