Luka Modric's Arrival in Milan
Monday 04-08-2025
AC Milan fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Croatian star Luka Modric in the city of Milan on Monday morning to officially begin his journey with the team after his historic 13-year stint with Real Madrid.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Modric is expected to be presented at a press conference on Monday, following his signing of a one-year contract with the Rossoneri earlier this summer.

Modric has not yet joined the team's training sessions under Massimiliano Allegri, as he received an additional rest period after participating with Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup last July.

The 39-year-old player will undergo medical examinations and physical tests on Tuesday morning, before participating in his first training session with the team later that same evening. Milan is counting on his vast experience to lead the midfield as part of a project that aims to blend youth and experience in preparation for the new season.

Milan concluded their preparatory tour in Asia and Australia with three matches, losing to Arsenal 1-0, then defeating Liverpool 4-2, before achieving a crushing victory over Perth Glory with a score of 9-0.

The team has two remaining friendly matches against Leeds United in Dublin and Chelsea in London, before the official season begins with a match against Bari in the Coppa Italia on August 17, followed by a clash with Cremonese in the opening of the Serie A on the 24th of the same month.
