Mohamed Hamid, Proxy Coach: I Did Not Mean to Undermine Zamalek
Sunday 03-08-2025
Mohamed Hamid, the head coach of Proxy, confirmed that he did not intend to undermine Zamalek during his statements following his team's friendly match against the whites.

Zamalek lost to Proxy with a score of 3-1 in a friendly match.

Mohamed Hamid said on the program "Game and Another" on Mega FM Radio: "Zamalek is a great club, and no one should undermine it because it is a great representative of Egyptian football. Al-Ahly and Zamalek are number one in Egypt."

He added: "My statements were misinterpreted regarding Zamalek's new signings, and I told the journalist that it is still early for the new players. I was surprised by a sharp attack from Zamalek's channel, and I am a Zamalek fan, and my whole family supports Zamalek, and perhaps my comments were due to my disappointment with Zamalek."

He continued: "Look at Al-Ahly's signings compared to Zamalek's signings. Friendly matches are not a measure compared to official matches, and we still need more time. There is a distinguished group of players in Zamalek, and some players who left are better than those who are present, but I am sad about the level Zamalek has reached."
