Haider Shanshul: Our goal is to restore the glory of Al-Zawraa and compete in all championships
The president of the administrative body of Al-Zawraa Club, Haider Shanshul, confirmed that the new administration is working hard to bring the team back to the forefront both locally and in Asia, through a comprehensive sports project aimed at restoring the glories that have long been associated with the name "Al-Nawras." He promised the fans a different season on all fronts.
In statements made to "Al-Rabia Sports Channel":
Shanshul said: "Restoring the team's glories and returning to the podiums of victory is the main goal of the new administration. We promise Al-Zawraa fans that the team will compete strongly in all championships next season, and we will spare no effort in achieving that."
He pointed out that there is direct and important support from the Ministry of Transport, the sponsoring body of the club, indicating that this support is currently being managed with high professionalism: "The funds are now being allocated accurately and in the right place, unlike what happened in previous administrations, and this will have a direct impact on the team's results and its technical and administrative stability."
Shanshul spoke about the current team composition, clarifying that the club does not rely on a single star as it did in the past, but rather on a complete system capable of making a difference: "Al-Zawraa today has a distinguished group of stars, and the technical approach focuses on teamwork and harmony, not just on individual talents."
Regarding the departure of defender Mustafa Nazim from the team, Shanshul revealed that the decision was based on the vision of the coaching staff led by coach Abdul Ghani Shahid, saying: "The departure of player Mustafa Nazim was purely for technical reasons, and the coach made that decision. We respect this decision and thank the player for everything he has provided to the club in the past period."
