Monday 28-07-2025
The Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon has begun to move in the transfer market to compensate for the departure of its Swedish striker Viktor Jöker to Arsenal in the current summer transfer window, according to reports released today, Monday.

Sporting received 64 million euros for the sale of Jöker to Arsenal, with the possibility of adding 10 million euros as performance-related bonuses for the player with coach Mikel Arteta's team.

Sky Sports reported that Sporting Lisbon has entered into talks with English club Nottingham Forest to sign the Portuguese winger Jota Silva to replace Jöker.

The network clarified that the Portuguese club is seeking to loan the player with a clause that allows for a future purchase, while Nottingham Forest's management prefers to sell the player outright and is waiting for the first official offer from Sporting soon.
