Raja Club Athletic Ends Contract with Marwan Zila
Raja Club Athletic announced the end of its relationship with player Marwan Zila, after reaching an official agreement to mutually terminate the contract, in exchange for a financial settlement of 70 million centimes to be paid in two installments.
Moroccan reports revealed that both parties signed a detailed legal protocol regulating the terms of separation, the most notable of which is the payment of 30 million centimes on the first day of signing the agreement, which the Raja management committed to last Monday, to avoid any legal complications that could keep the player within the team.
The reports added that Zila agreed to waive about 25 million centimes of his total dues, in exchange for receiving the remaining amount, as he is expected to receive 40 million centimes at most by August 15.
This decision comes on the recommendation of Tunisian coach Lassaad Chabbi, who decided to exclude Zila from his technical plans for the upcoming season, as part of a strategy aimed at restructuring the team and injecting new elements that align with the aspirations of the upcoming phase.
Zila joined Raja two seasons ago and succeeded in winning the league and the Throne Cup with the team in the season before last, before renewing his contract for two additional years, of which he only completed one season.
The player is expected to continue his career with Moghreb Tétouan, which has shown interest in acquiring him, while Raja continues its efforts to strengthen its squad with more ready players, aiming to return to the podiums and compete in the African Champions League.
