Tuesday 15-07-2025
Manchester City announced on its official website the permanent appointment of Ivorian Kolo Touré to the first team's coaching staff, continuing his role as an assistant to head coach Pep Guardiola.

Touré, who is 44 years old, had temporarily taken on the same role during the club's participation in the Club World Cup this summer, before the club decided to grant him the position permanently after his significant success.

Touré had an impressive season with the under-18 youth team, where he worked as an assistant to coach Oliver Rice, contributing to winning the Premier League Under-18 title, as well as leading the team to the National League final and the FA Youth Cup final.

Hugo Vieira, Manchester City's Director of Football, praised Touré's experience and positive character, emphasizing that his permanent addition to the coaching staff enhances the integration of work between the academy and the first team.
